I'll be in Smyrna, Ga on February 25th and 26th teaching another exciting Pit Bull training workshop at Dogma Dogcare. Last years reactive Pit Bull workshop was one of the best of the year. We had a blast and Dogma couldn't have been a better host. Come on out and join us this time around. Here are the details ...
Spots Available:
15 spots are available on a first come first
serve basis. Working spots only. Observation spots are not available for this workshop.
Price:
Two day attendance is $140.
One day attendance is $85.
Only one dog per handler. If you have multiple dogs please only bring one.
Dogs must NOT be overly dog aggressive. Please do not bring reactive or dog aggressive
dogs to the workshop. If I deem the dog is a danger to the rest of the attendee's you will
be asked to leave (No refunds will be issued.)

Dates and Times:
Saturday February 25th and Sunday February 26th 2012
11am-4pm both days.
Lunch will break from 1-2pm both days.
Where to Stay:
There are several area hotels that are dog friendly. For a partial list you can visit
www.BringFido.com. You can also check out hotels in the Smyrna, Ga area on the website as well. Some hotels charge a pet fee while
others do not. When you look at the listings on the page look to the right to see if the hotel charges a fee or not. Also the room
rate will be listed there as well.
The two day work shop will cover:
- Clear Communication through reward based training methods.
- How to quickly and effectively deal with behavior issues.
- How to teach your dog leash manners using the "five minute" formula.
- How to teach your dog to listen to cues the first time, everytime without hitting, yelling, or resorting to "whispering" pain tactics.
- The one thing you can change to make training easier than ever.
- Getting your dog prepared for the American Kennel Clubs Canine Good Citizen test.
- How to create motivation in your dog through fun play sessions.
- and much, much more ...
What you will need to bring:
- Your dogs favorite toy and plenty of bite sized treats.
- Water for you and your dog. I would also pack a lunch for you and your dog too. The workshop will be 4 hours (give or take 30-40 minutes).
- Your dog on a normal buckle collar or harness.
- Prong (aka pinch) collars are acceptable but your dog should be on a regular collar/harness when not working. The training collar is only for training.
- NO CHOKE CHAINS OR LIMITED SLIP COLLARS OF ANY KIND SHOULD BE ON YOUR DOG
- Crate for your dog. Dogs will be crated when not actively working.
- Six foot leash.
- Chair.
