Love the articles! Listen, my friend sent me this link to a message board about bicycles. I want to bring this to everyone’s attention because this person posting is lying about a supposed pit bull attack he experienced while riding his bicycle. I know it’s a lie because what he is saying happened is phsically impossible. In short, he is saying that a pitbull came out of nowhere while he was riding his bike and attacked him. He says the pit grabbed hold of the pedal of his bike and wouldn’t let go. How the hell did he keep the bike upright, still pedal DOWNHILL (because he said he was at the top of a hill when it happened), and how did this dog hold on the entire time, with his head going in circles? It’s complete bull! Then he said to get the dog off he somehow kicked the dog in the nose with his foot (while still pedalling *rolls eyes*)and broke the dog’s face open whereas blood was spraying out of his face. WTF? Why must people lie like that? And the surprise is that everyone believed him! Not one person had anything nice to say about pits. I would join just to post, but I am so mad I know whatever I write will be erased. Click on my name above to see the post.
I pay no nevermind to stories like that. Anyone with common sense can see it’s bull.

I also would like to say, if you do post on that forum please keep your temper in check and don’t step down to their level of bashing an animal.
I bet 10 out of 10 people there couldn’t even tell you what a Pit Bull looks like. :o)

You’re right, I’m sure they can’t even tell you. Society has this idea about what a pit bull is, yet most have never even met one. I had the media’s view of them, until I met my recently departed Rose Red. You know in my 2 years of working at a veterinary hospital, I never met one nasty pit and I came across alot, at least three per day. I had more trouble with German Shephards than anything. Why Pit Bulls, who are probably the only breed that would give it’s life for for it’s master, get such a bad rap I’m not sure. I blame the media for posting all those news reports on pits. They don’t even tell you about the other 99% of the dog bites that happen by other breeds. Is this the modern day prejudice, first against blacks and now against dogs? i dont think alot of people ask question just to get some satisfaction to breed not everyone is like that i am not saying i am 100% but there are some people who seek more knowledge of the breed i agree people should not breed pitfulls for the miracle of births i eman if you want to see a miracle of birth make a child youre self i do beleivew in breeding sound temperement and healthy dogs in all aspects of the breed breeding is a serious thing it is expensive and it can be negetive if you breed for the wrong reason i had to correct my neighbor just because you breed pits is not going make the situiation better you should be breed for true american pitbull because you love the breed and you want to preserve good specimem of true type and that you love doing what you do and of course loving the breed and ensuring the future of the remarkable breed the american pitbull terrier can you believe people dont think pitbulls have terrier blood in them lol the think they are bulldogs of the present day lol
Pit Bull aren’t terriers? I thought a pit bull was any dog with an unknown mix between a breed and an AmStaff or StaffBull, both terriers. The larger taller pits being an unknown mix with American Staffordshire Terrier and the smaller lighter pits being an unknown mix with a Stafforshire Bull Terrier. That’s what I thought..

pit bull lower case refers to pit bull type dogs.
Pit Bull upper case refers only to the American Pit Bull Terrier.
Pit Bulls are not mixes. They have long been a purebred canine.
