After reading a couple of news stories and seeing a recent poll from a Canadian TV station I was left wondering, “Why is it so hard for people to understand about pitbulls?”
When I hear people talking about how vicious pitbullsI’m left puzzled.
Most of them have never even seen an American Pit Bull Terrier and they are suppose to know how their temperements are?
What a joke.
As I look at the world around us I see a commericalized public. People who are told what to do, what to say, what to wear, where to eat, how fat or how skinny they are, why they should be doing this or that and it drives me mad.
Personally, I think it’s time for Pit Bull owners to stand up and tell the media to stick it.
I would ask every pit bull owner to call your TV station, your local paper, and other media outlets and demand to be heard!
Working together we can bring the breed out of the crisis it’s in. Working together we can make a difference.
But we have to pull together and stop the tyranny.
Take a minute and think about the folks in BSL country.
Muzzles, their dogs put down for no other reason than their breed, restriction after restriction
being placed on them.
Law abiding citizens being persecuted for their freedom of choice.
Disgusting!
Take action today and help us make a difference.

I think I might start another blog called,
“How Dumb Can You Be? Or Where’s the Common Sense!?”
In a recent email exchange I was asked if I had a male that
I wanted to stud out to this lady for her female.
I told her no and, as usually, asked why do you want to breed
your dog.
I also informed her that she shouldn’t be breeding her dog until
at least 2 years old.
Her reply wasn’t that bad, but not really nice either.
After another email I was wondering about the dogs history, you
know, have the been tested for OFA hips etc…
She responded and I quote:
“I rescued my APBT “Baby” from a local SPCA
along with her brother “Simba” about four months ago, My fiance also adopted an APBT “Sugar”, so i do know about the pitts who need homes. I still do have plans to breed her, but i will consider holding out for a while.”
Yes, she rescued this dog from the SPCA and she wants to breed her.
Okay so I got a little upset and fired off a “what are you thinking!?” email and she responded with the typical, I can do what I want shut up etc…
People ask me, “Jason, what do you think is the main problem Pit Bull owners face?”
My answer – Stupid people.
Stupid people who care nothing about what happens to the Pit Bull Terrier as a breed and they go about their lives as if they have no impact on the situation.
If I get one message out there to every single owner on earth it would be…
Your actions directly effect me, my dogs, my friends, my friends dogs, the dogs in California, the dogs in Atlanta GA, the dogs in France and the people who share their lives with them around the world.
Don’t think for one second you are not hurting anyone by putting 8-12 new puppies in this world.
Why don’t you keep hammering those nails into the breeds coffin and bury them yourself?
That is exactly what puppy sellers and morons (like the lady above) are doing to our breed.
She was upset because I voiced my opinion. Well, tough. You come into my email inbox and ask me a stupid question, I’m going to offer you my opinion on why I think it’s stupid and how to fix it.
As owners, we all should speak out about these issues.
The fun and games are over folks.
The American Pit Bull Terrier is on the brink of being banned to the point of extinction and these fools want to put more unstable pups on the ground.
These things have to stop.
Take action and speak your mind on the issue. Whether or not it’s “asked for” or not.

Dear Readers,
I wanted to let you know that this Monday the breed
ban in Toronto, Ontario Canada is going to go into
effect.
As I sat down to type this letter to you I thought
about all the ways I could ask for your help in
this matter.
I thought about telling you the story of a dog
who’s legs were broken by a TV (the owner says)
and the owner wanted her put down.
After denying him, the vet fixed her legs and
now she can walk again, though not perfectly.
The breed ban will force a muzzle on her, which,
from experiences in the vet clinic, she is nervous
of.
Now she must endure this procedure every time
she is taken for a walk.
I thought about telling you about the thousands
of dogs that have been given up to shelters because
of the upcoming ban.
I don’t have specific numbers but from what I hear
in rescue circles they are quickly getting overwhelmed
with all the dogs surrended by owners.
Imagine that, imagine having to give up your dog, muzzle
your dog, force your dog into confinement, all because they
are APBT’s or bully breeds that are similar in appearence.
What does this say about our world?
It tells me human “intelligence” is a thing of the past
and agenda’s and ridiculous ideas have replaced common
sense.
Would you do me a huge favor and visit the following
URL, download and sign the petition to help Canadian Bully
owners protect their dogs and themselves from goverment
tyranny?

Thank you for your compassion in this matter.

The tale of two pups.
On a humid August morning I went to get a check up for my dogs. As I sat in the waiting room I noticed two small APBT puppies looking at each other. I thought to myself what they might be thinking or if dogs could talk, what would they be saying.
That day, the conversation might have went like this…
Puppy #1 – Hey, my name’s Jack, what’s your name?
Puppy #2 – My name is Ralph, how are you Jack?
Jack replies, “I’m doing great, I’m here for my shots.”
“Really, I’m here for a shot too. They say it’s not
that bad and it only takes a moment for the pain
to go away.” Ralph says.
“How long have you been waiting for your shot?” Jack
asks Ralph.
“I’m next I think. They said they were getting the room
ready and we won’t have to wait much longer.” Ralph replies.
“That’s good, I hate waiting in here, so much noise and the
smell, oy! the smell!.” Jack states as he covers his nose with
his paw.
“Yeah, it stinks that’s for sure!” Ralph mimics Jack and covers his
nose too.
“How old are you Jack?” Ralph asks…
“4 months, and you?” Jack replies…
“Really? Im 5 months old yesterday!” Ralph says with an excited
voice.
“Happy birthday!” Jack says.
The vet comes out and takes Ralph and his owner
back to the back room.
What seems like years pass and Jack is wanting to
say goodbye to Ralph before he gets taken to get
his routine boosters.
Jack hears Ralphs owner coming and the jingle
of Ralphs tags.
Jack waits to say goodbye but as Ralphs owner
comes around the corner Jack notices that Ralph
is not with him.
“Why does he have Ralphs collar and tags and
leash but not Ralph?” Jack asks to himself out loud.
When out of the corner an old voice says,
“Ralph was a rescue no one wanted. He couldn’t
find a forever home so the man at the shelter
brought him in here. Ralph is gone little guy,
you will see him again one day.
At the rainbow bridge.”
Jack, whined and whined and all the people
thought he was scared of the vet.
We know he wasn’t.
We know he missed his new friend Ralph.
My question to everyone who reads this
blog is…
How many Ralphs have to die before we
as people get the freaking point that breeding
and selling dogs to the general public is the
main reason why Ralph and millions like
him have to die everyday?
To those who sell puppies, GET A CLUE AND STOP.
Best Regards,
Jason, Angel, Honey and one more Ralph, my foster LEO
“The Lionheart” who needs a permanent home.
