Pit Bull Puppies – Inspired by actual events
August 16th, 2005
The tale of two pups.
On a humid August morning I went to get a check up for my dogs. As I sat in the waiting room I noticed two small APBT puppies looking at each other. I thought to myself what they might be thinking or if dogs could talk, what would they be saying.
That day, the conversation might have went like this…
Puppy #1 – Hey, my name’s Jack, what’s your name?
Puppy #2 – My name is Ralph, how are you Jack?
Jack replies, “I’m doing great, I’m here for my shots.”
“Really, I’m here for a shot too. They say it’s not
that bad and it only takes a moment for the pain
to go away.” Ralph says.
“How long have you been waiting for your shot?” Jack
asks Ralph.
“I’m next I think. They said they were getting the room
ready and we won’t have to wait much longer.” Ralph replies.
“That’s good, I hate waiting in here, so much noise and the
smell, oy! the smell!.” Jack states as he covers his nose with
his paw.
“Yeah, it stinks that’s for sure!” Ralph mimics Jack and covers his
nose too.
“How old are you Jack?” Ralph asks…
“4 months, and you?” Jack replies…
“Really? Im 5 months old yesterday!” Ralph says with an excited
voice.
“Happy birthday!” Jack says.
The vet comes out and takes Ralph and his owner
back to the back room.
What seems like years pass and Jack is wanting to
say goodbye to Ralph before he gets taken to get
his routine boosters.
Jack hears Ralphs owner coming and the jingle
of Ralphs tags.
Jack waits to say goodbye but as Ralphs owner
comes around the corner Jack notices that Ralph
is not with him.
“Why does he have Ralphs collar and tags and
leash but not Ralph?” Jack asks to himself out loud.
When out of the corner an old voice says,
“Ralph was a rescue no one wanted. He couldn’t
find a forever home so the man at the shelter
brought him in here. Ralph is gone little guy,
you will see him again one day.
At the rainbow bridge.”
Jack, whined and whined and all the people
thought he was scared of the vet.
We know he wasn’t.
We know he missed his new friend Ralph.
My question to everyone who reads this
blog is…
How many Ralphs have to die before we
as people get the freaking point that breeding
and selling dogs to the general public is the
main reason why Ralph and millions like
him have to die everyday?
To those who sell puppies, GET A CLUE AND STOP.
Best Regards,
Jason, Angel, Honey and one more Ralph, my foster LEO
“The Lionheart” who needs a permanent home.

My heart goes out to all of these wonderful pups that are made to give there lives because of the stupidity of people. Here is what I posted on the forum and what my thoughts are with relation to this type of issue:
I read Leo’s story and many others and it makes me so sad, mad and frustrated with people. He is such a gorgeous looking pup with so much to offer someone. I only wish that I could take him in myself, but with my own pup and cat I am unable to do so. I wish that I could help out all wonderful APBT that do not have a forever home to go to. If only people would stop being such imbeciles and start being responsible. There are so many animals out there that are so full of love and yet have no one to love. Yet, people still breed, breed, breed. I am very active within my community to help educate people on rescuing a pup or any animal, instead of going to a breeder. I try to do all that I can to not only help the APBT but all animals that are in need of a forever home to go to. I try and support where I can and educate when I can. So to everyone that reads this, PLEASE HELP THIS LITTLE GUY OUT BY FORWARDING HIS INFO TO PEOPLE THAT MAY JUST HAVE A FOREVER LOVING HOME FOR HIM. HELP ALL ANIMALS THAT ARE IN SHELTERS AND RESCUES BY EDUCATING THE PUBLIC TO GO TO SHELTERS OR RESCUES TO ADOPT AND NOT GO TO A BREEDER. DONATE SOME TIME TO THESE GREAT ANIMALS TO GIVE THEM HOPE AND SOMETHING TO LIVE FOR. IF YOU DON’T HAVE THE TIME THEN GIVE ANY LITTLE BIT OF MONEY OR SUPPIES TO A SHELTER OR RESCUE SO THAT THESE ANIMALS HAVE A PLACE TO GO TO, TO MAYBE GET A SECOND, THIRD OR EVEN FORTH CHANCE AT A LOVING LIFE.
My heart and thoughts are with Leo , as well as all animals that are still awaiting a forever home to go to. Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to read this post and I hope that maybe you will do your very best to help this great breed and all other animals too, that need our help to keep them alive and give them hope to be found, adopted and loved.
AGAIN HERE IS LEO’S INFO PLEASE HELP FIND HIM A LOVING AND FOREVER HOME TO GO TO:
