A few days ago I was checking my email and there was a subject that stuck out.
Wolf Or Pit Bull?
I immediately assumed it must be an email about genetics
and whether or not the Pit Bull is related to the wolf.
Well, in the world of Pit Bulls I should have known it was a question asking if an American Pit Bull Terrier
could best a Wolf in a fight.
My first thought was to delete the email and not
respond to the sender. Or if I did respond I would
do so with a smart and clever remark.
However, I read the entire email and soon found myself
answering the question to the best of my ability while at
the same time being honest and open with the information.
The sender was certain a Wolf would win because it has
1,500 PSI biting pressure.
They didn’t know what the PSI of a Pit Bulls bite was but
they were confident it was not 1,500.
(This is the moment where you should be kind of laughing.)
As I wrote my reply I could see the fight. It’s winter in Alaska,
a Wolf pack is making their way through the mountains
when all of a sudden a purebred American Pit Bull Terrier
comes rushing out of the woods with “murder” in his eyes for
the Wolf.
The Alpha wolf engages the maurding Pit Bull in mortal
canine combat only to die from the wounds he receives.
The Pit Bull then takes over the Wolf pack and it now becomes
the first ever American Pit Bull Terrier Wolf Hybrid Pack
in the wild! Eureka! Sign me up for that one!
Okay with all joking aside and for those folks who read
this blog who are as lost as the sender of the email let
me clear a few things up.
1. BITE PRESSURE has never, will never, and CAN NOT
be accurately tested. This is a scientific FACT.
2. How would you test a Wolf? Here wolfie, here wolfie,
bite down on this PSI super detecting decoder toy…
Highly doubt that happened.
3. The only way this would happen is if people were
to stage it. Last time I looked cruel events like these
were illegal.
4. Who cares? Honestly, if you have to ask this question
you are no older than 15 years old.
If you are older than 15 and you’re asking this question,
please do us all a favor and do not speak.
In the end the email reminded me of both the uphill battle
we face trying to educate people about the breed and
how stupid people are everywhere.
Best Regards,
Jason Mann

I’d like to share a story with you today about Pit Bulls and Breed Specific Legislation.
The story is about Stephanie Ascott a woman who lives in Canada. Hearing Stephanie’s story is heartbreaking for several reasons. It made me ask out loud, why do good people end up getting the shaft so often?
You see, Stephanie had her leg amputated. Her marriage ended. She was demoted at her job and lost her home.
All of this happened rapidly and Stephanie fell into a depression.
One cold night her son brought her a dog he had found as a stray. Stephanie took his little frozen body and put it in front of a stove and rubbed feeling and warmth back into him.
She thought he was a little Chihuahua so she named him TACO.
It later turned out that TACO was non-other than a little Pit Bull puppy.
You may have heard that Canada has recently banned Pit Bulls. Well TACO is one of those in jeopardy and Stephanie has repeatedly been silenced and she hasn’t even had the right to plead her case in front of any goverment officials.
When she was allowed in front of a group to speak 5 out of 4 voted to hear her plea. However, Mayor Eddie Francis stepped in and voted against her making the vote 5-5. In Canada a tie is a loss and her plea was not heard.
No one has been allowed to speak out against By-Law #245. And a large part of that is Mayor Francis and his repeated votes against those wishing to oppose the by-law.
Stephanie’s story doesn’t end there.
Remember she had her leg amputated?
As a result of this she had to learn how to walk all over again.
Taco, by some “grand universal plan” stepped in and helped her learn to walk again. He also helped her with her depression by being there for her when she felt down.
Despite her situation and her pleas to the goverment they ordered her to turn Taco over to the Windsor Essex County Humane Society.
Are these people for real?
Compassion is obviously a foriegn word to the Government of Canda.
Oh, I won’t hold my tongue here and my contempt for the PEOPLE of Canada either.
For it is YOUR fault the law is passed and Taco and Stephanie are where they are.
It is YOUR fault the man who commented on the previous story was beaten and when his dog tried to protect him they arrested him and took his dog.
Am I crazy or does this seem like Nazi Germany or some third world dictatorship?
Am I crazy or do people not care anymore as long as it doesn’t effect them?
Am I crazy or are the people who sit there and eat what the TV and Media feeds them like they are eating a fancy dinner sitting on their butts doing nothing?
Why are we allowing the governments of the United States and Canada to treat us like criminals and force laws that are unrealistic, biased, and fear driven on us?
Personally I’m fed up. I will start to strike out before the storm of BSL hits and I will make every effort to make a change.
It’s time for us to raise up our voices and demand to be heard.
Writing letters, protesting on the steps of government buildings, going door to door to spread the word that people are being presecuted by their governments, all of these are ways to get our voices heard.
I will close this article with a question.
Will you allow them to walk all over you or will you stand up and raise your voice?!
Best Regards,
Jason, Angel and Honey
