Pit Bulls and Stupid Fools… this is a solid article if you ask me. The comments on the bottom of course have the same old “these dogs are killers and man eaters and blah blah” but there is plenty of space for your comment.

I just wanna say i am grateful for any and every website that has accurate and positeve pit info. I am a very proud owner of a beatiful pit girl named alli. I adopted her from a not so great situaion where she wasnt getting a lot of attention or exercise and was constantly running away. She is the first pit-bull i have owned but will surely not be the last. Since i’ve gotten her i know i will never get another dog besides a pit or atleast a pit mix. There beautiful, loyal, loving, smart, and just an all around great dog. Alli is so eager to please me, as i hear alot with pits. They love to be the center of attention and love to please there owner, both she does a great job at! Shes great with kids, people, other dogs, even cats!!! When i first got her she tried chasing my two cats all the time, she loves to chase small prey. With some training time and paitence shes grown to love the cats. I cant beileve but they actually cuddle. She is the love of my life and if your thinking about getting a pit do it! Yes there a lot of work but it is all worth it to give this wonderful dog a great life, and in turn she gave me a great life!!
and i forgot to address the soul purpose of the article!! My dog would never harm a human or another dog unless attacked first. The first week i had her my friends 3 yr old jumped on her pulled her ears and tail all she did was let out a cry no growl or anything. My chihuahua bite her in the face and all she did was cry. I have never even heard so much as a nasty bark from this dog. In my opion little dogs are much nastier then a pit could ever dream to be. People are uneducated about these dogs. Ignorance is bliss what more can i say, hate the deed not the breed. People make dogs nasty a dog just wants to be loved and people want them to fight. Learn the facts before you speak about a dog like this, or you should be the one muzzeled!!!!!!
That Doug Giles article was absolutely brilliant!!!!! I’m referring this site with the link on it to my friends so they can read for themselves. I tell them, but I can’t remember all the important details, and I don’t have the finessse for wording things so eloquently, so it’d just be easier for them to read it for themselves. Keep up the outstanding work, Jason!!! This is why you were put on this earth. Never give up hope!!!!
Why are pit bulls treated the way they are?! They didn’t do anything. People say they are vicious because they are trained that way! People are crazy!
I have two pit bulls and they only growl and bark for protection but they would never bite anyone unless they think the person is harmful to them or to us.
Jason Mann I am a fellow bully lover such as yourself who feels the same outrage that you do every time I hear the news or go out with my pup for a walk and get funny looks. I am also in accordance that these dogs are getting sloppy and straying from their tru conformational look. I am trying hard to start my kennel and will be trying my best to get this amazing breed back to its tru standard. Although my 15 month old lue brindle pup is 85lbs I am not trying to breed anything over 90lbs. I’m glad that you posted the standards on your blog. Please email me @ your earliest convenience. I am some one who truly has the breeds best interest @ heart.

Luis, I would suggest you re-think your strategy there bud. You are in accordance that these dogs are getting sloppy yet you plan to add to that sloppy crap? 85 lbs at 15 months? Won’t breed anything over 90 lbs? American Pit Bull Terriers are MEDIUM dogs. If you have the breeds interest at heart you would fix your pup and drop your kennel plans until you understand what a real American Pit Bull Terrier is. Your heart might be in the right place but you’re ideal of what an American Pit Bull Terrier is not in the right place.
