This email was received by a Pit Bull Lover Gazette subscriber who forwarded it to me to post.
TOLEDO — It’s a disturbing discovery that has neighbors in South Toledo shaken and Toledo animal cruelty investigators disturbed enough to ask for your help. Wednesday morning, children found three dogs, all decapitated and mutilated, along train tracks near Curtis and Roff.
Goldie Barnes shook her head in disbelief. After searching for her dog named Southside for two days, her children found the dog and one of her puppies decapitated on the tracks. “The puppy is there next to its momma without a head. Its paw is cut off sitting on the other side. Somebody cut these animals up and pieces and put them on the tracks making people think the train got them,” says Barnes.
Goldie was convinced this wasn’t an accident because just a few yards away, neighbors found another dog. Its head was also cut off. “It’s somebody that’s sick that needs to be locked up before we start finding bodies out here as opposed to these animals,” says Barnes.
Animal cruelty investigators from the Toledo Area Humane Society took a closer look and confirmed Goldie’s suspicions. “The train’s not the one that killed the dogs. There’s a possibility that the dogs were decapitated by the train, but as of right now the dogs were dead before,” says Jeremiah Larson.
Larson says just a few hours earlier, he found another puppy matching the two dead black pit bulls, limping with a severed back leg. “It looks like someone did it with a knife or some type of object. We did put that dog down due to massive infection inside the dog’s wound,” says Larson.
Goldie hopes the person is caught soon so no one else is hurt.
Animal cruelty investigators say they will examine the dogs further to determine how they were killed. So far they have no leads or suspects.

On a daily basis people devote themselves to saving Pit Bulls in need.
The following post will share with you what type of people they have to deal with on a daily basis.
I received an email from a visitor at http://www.PitBullLovers.com the other day and I have decided to reprint the email here. I edited out the website address to their site for obvious reasons.
Why am I publishing this email here?
Two reasons:
1. To share with you the exact type of person Pit Bull rescue organziations battle on a daily basis.
2. Because it shares with you one of the most destructive forces in the Pit Bull community.
When I say destructive I mean a person who breeds dogs over and over again without regards to temperment testing, DNA testing, genetic testing, or other key Pit Bull Breeder tests.
Okay, now for the intial email. I have included bits and pieces of his response after the first email as well.
I received this email because of the following article: Blue Pitbull – Pitbull Puppies and other Destructive Forces
Warning: The following emails and quotes from emails from this person are explicit and contain quite a bit of profanity.
Here is the email:
“This website is COMPLETE BULLSHIT,im a registered VET TECH and i dont know what problems you claim BLUE PITS have but its a LIE what you claim. I have 13 PITS and not 1 has demadectic or sarcoptic mange problems.Nor do they have skin allergies. Some people like MOST HISPANICS,COUNTRY-ASS REDNECKS, and BLACKS do not take care of there dogs. That is no EXCUSE for you to DISRESPECT BLUE PITS. PEOPLE sale houses ,cars, and what ever they want if there is a market for it. And how in the name of JESUS can your IGNORANT ASS make there market value, for THERE puppy. JAGUARS are great cars (MY BLUE PITS bought it for me) How in the HELL can i tell JAGUAR what there price should be. You DONT sound like a PITBULL LOVER you sound like a BROKE-ASS HATER that cant get the BEST of the BREED. YES. GO look at ANGEL in the SUN and its NOTHING SPECIAL. I have a WHITE PIT(GATOR) also and he does NOT COME CLOSE to MY BLUE ones in the SUN. I take a BLUE PUP to the BEACH and there is a HUGE crowd around us in NO TIME. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. IF 95 out of 100 people DISAGREE with you then your WHOLE MINDSTATE is FUCKED . You need to do some SOUL searching because YOU have PROBLEMS dealing with OTHERS SUCCESS. Dont even look at a BLUE then why WASTE YOUR TIME HATING. Your SITE wont change SHIT. PEOPLE want something NEW NOT A white or black PIT they’re PLAYED OUT.Ive BEEN breeding BLUES for 10 yrs and guess what they’ve bought me a HOME,CARS, and a RECORDING STUDIO ,BUT maybe your RIGHT(lol) That’s not SPECIAL! And YES THEY do WORK on OUR 48 ACRES in COLLEGE STATION. They’re GREAT at herding CATTLE and HOGS.”
The point I would like to draw attention to first is the reference to buying a home, a car and a recording studio with the profits from his dog sales.
Yup. That’s a great reason to breed. (heavy sarcism there folks.)
The second point I would like to point out is the fact he compares his dogs to cars.
In a later email he explains:
“The JAG and CHRYSLER 300 just gives the EXAMPLE of HOW POPULAR they ARE.“
Point three – In the article you will see that I clearly state that people who breed only for color, size, or a combination there of are immoral scoundrals.
Why would someone respond with profanity and name calling if they were not offended?
Hmmm.
Rescue workers fight this battle daily. They fight the “breeder” (in quotes cause I don’t think of this person as a breeder) who pumps out several litters of puppies for NO OTHER reason than to line their pockets.
In his response to my email he states:
“I BREED THEM to ENHANCE what PEOPLE that are ignorant think of them and 500 to 700 DOLLARS is NOT a lot.”
After some talk he adds:
“3 LITTERS ON THE WAY“
Okay, fair enough, but what does producing 3 litters at the same time enhance?
I can think of two things:
1. More irresponsible owners.
2. More Pit Bulls in need of homes.
Now, I ask you, what do you think?
The man states in another email:
“You sound like POOR WHITE TRASH SO I UNDERSTAND YOUR PAIN I KNOW THAT HURTS PUSSYs like YOURSELF. HAVE A NICE BROKE LIFE with your 2 INBREDS. PS-EAT A DICK BITCH!!!!!!”
Does this sound like someone you want representing our breed?
I don’t. And that is the number one reason I posted his comments here for you.
Comment or not, I won’t stand by and let people ruin the American Pit Bull Terrier’s reputation any further by breeding for color and not producing 100% prime examples of the breed. Which by the way, for all those “breeders” out there is the only reason dogs should be bred.

As I read my email this morning I was caught off guard by an email detailing the actions of the City of Denver.
As I read about uyniformed police officers taking people’s Pit Bulls to be killed at the shelter my heart sank.
Why?
Because they are Pit Bulls. None of them have bitten, attacked, or so much as LICKED a human being in the wrong way, but they die.
Bill Suro a vet for 45 years and creator of Maxfund, a nonprofit that cares for injured animals without owners said,
“Eighty percent all fatal attacks in the U.S. are caused by male dogs. I
guess, given this, it would be prudent to now ban all breeds of male
dogs.”
He brings up a great point. Why not?
Such a law would be as unrealistic and barbaric.
My blood boils at these powers of goverment and the fury in which they act.
Kind of makes you want to puke actually.
I have a message for large breed owners. Watch out St. Benhard lovers. You could be next. Or Malamute lovers, as pointed out in the email a Malamute killed a 7 year old child last week in Denver too.
Will they be next?
Pit Bull owners need to start taking action right now.
No more is it okay to sit back and think, “Well that’s Denver, not my area.”
What can you do?
You can flood the mayor of Denver with information.
We must have unified voice and we must take action.
Otherwise it may be your Pit Bull being taken by a uniformed Police officer to be slaughtered.
