The Pit Bull Owner’s Survival Guide – Why You Need it…

September 26th, 2008

One the most frequently asked questions I receive is, “How do I stop/fight/oppose anti-pit bull laws?” Another variation of that is, “My city is considering BSL, what do I do!?”

I am happy to be able to answer that question with a single answer… You get your hands on B. Haywood’s The Pit Bull Owner’s Survival Guide and you dig into it immediately.

What is The Pit Bull Owner’s Survival Guide?

The Pit Bull Owner’s Survival Guide is just that, a survival guide for Pit Bull owner’s in the fight against BSL and anti-pit bull laws. The first thing I did when I started reading it was scan down to “How to oppose BSL, The Proactive Approach” and I loved the ideas and strategies. Why? Because they are not “reactive” like most BSL lists or whatever you are looking for. These are real world, practical, effective strategies you can use immediately.

Many Pit Bull owner’s think fighting BSL is impossible. I’m here to tell you, it’s not. One of the most important things you can have are allies. In the survival guide there is a list of who opposes BSL and who supports it. Knowing that information clears the path immediately because now you know who to support and who to avoid supporting.

B. Haywood offers a step-by-oh-so-simple-step appraoch to building a proactive approach to insuring BSL does not take hold in your area. When I say step-by-oh-so-simple-step I mean it is clearly laid out. 1-2-3-4-5, so and so forth.

What if you are living in an area that already has enacted some form of anti-pit bull law. Don’t worry you can stop holding your breath, you’re covered.

You will find the “How to Build a Defensive Strategy” section in the guide not only invaluable but liberating. I couldn’t believe how good it felt to know I had a weapon in the fight against places like Maysville, Ky (about 80 miles from my town) who recently enacted a Pit Bull ban in city limits.

I also feel outstanding because I know Pit Bull owners in that area that can really use the information The Pit Bull Owner’s Survival Guide.

Once again it is laid out in a step-by-super-simple-it-is-hard-to-mess-up-step fashion. I love that because I’m not the best at following directions.
Why do you need this resource? Simple. It is packed to the rim with years worth of real world research and active strategies to fight anti-pit bull laws.

On page 62 you will start to learn who’s behind anti-pit bull laws, their stances, and why you need to (A) remove all support from them and (B) start speaking out against these “humane” organizations.

If you are worried about keeping your dog, if you are even remotely troubled by the fact that thousands of innocent dogs are being killed or removed from their loving homes and Pit Bull owners are being forced to uproot their families and move to other locations for no other reason than they have a Pit Bull then you should get your copy of The Pit Bull Owner’s Survival Guide like yesterday.

There you will be able to read more about the author and the book.

Here’s to stopping BSL forever!

The Pit Bull Problem – What if the tables were turned?

September 25th, 2008

In my last post I was at a Dock Dog Jumping contest. It was cool. Most of the dogs competiting were Labradors. I was watching these owners enjoying their dogs. I was the only one there with a Pit Bull. It ticked me off.

First, why was I the only one there? Sure, Pit Bulls are not all water dogs. But there was more to the event. Not to mention that I personally told several Pit Bull owners about the event. No one showed. Ummm….

Second, as I watched these dogs having a blast jumping off the dock for their favorite toy I thought what if the tables were turned. What if it were Labradors that were being demonized in the press, banned from entire cities, regulated in entire states, what would Labrador owners do?

Before you say, “That would never happen.” I’m sure someone said the same thing about the American Pit Bull Terrier and other related bully breeds that are often called, “pit bulls.”

So what would they do? How would they feel if their dogs were not welcome in places like Denver and Miami. What if they couldn’t go to certain events because “bully breeds” were not allowed to go?

What if people were coming and ripping your best friend from your home for no reason other than they are a certain breed of dog! Your dog never hurt a fly, yet, they are put to sleep because they are Labradors or Golden Retrievers or whatever.

When people say, “Pit Bulls are vicious and they should all be killed!” I say, “You’re an ignorant fool that needs to stop being a sheep and following the rest of the ignorant people.”

Time for this bashing, banning, and ignorance is at an end. Wake up. Your dog is next and if you don’t believe me grab a breed ban list from Denver or Miami. There are more than Pit Bulls on that list.

Ask people in Italy who can not own Border Collies because they are banned.

Ask people in Germany, who were put through pure hell having their dogs set on fire, why? Because they were bully breeds.

My friends, wake up.

People like to comment on here. But until you walk a mile in my shoes, shut up.

As for anyone who asks, “Why don’t you just get another breed.” My answer, “Why don’t you.”

I hope one day you don’t have to go through what Pit Bull owners are going through right now. It’s pathetic, cowardly, it doesn’t work, and it’s based entirely on fear.
