Training Your Pit Bull the Easy Way
I’ve been around the block once or twice when it comes to Pit Bull training and I have to tell you what I see being passed off as “training advice” makes me ill.
Consequently the information I see being offered makes training your Pit Bull Terrier harder than it has to be.
The Easy Way to a Trained Pit Bull Terrier
Training your Pit Bull involves a few simple steps.
1. Educate yourself. Learn about Operant and classical conditioning. These are the foundations for all dog training.
Learn about training collars and other training aids before you try to use them.
2. Understand that training is a life long endeavor.
Training doesn’t stop because your dog can sit or come when called. Like all skills dogs can forget them and they must be worked on daily in order to keep them at their highest level.
3. Learn from a certified professional.
The Internet is awesome. The vast amount of information you can found on the subject of dog training is mind blowing. However, not all information is correct and more bothersome (at least for me) is that not information has been created by a certified professional with expertise in the field of dog training.
I have seen countless websites that are selling things that were created for one reason, to sell you things. They don’t care about your dogs well being.
One of the reasons I wrote The Pit Bull Training Handbook was because I was sick and tired of seeing pretend “experts” and “pit bull gurus” selling outdated, incorrect information and reading article after article that was either missing important information or just flat out harmful.
I decided to put together a resource that not only gives you a professional view point but a view point from a Pit Bull owner and fancier that really does care about you and your dogs training success.
And I can say without hesitation that The Pit Bull Training Handbook is the best Pit Bull training resource on the Internet. Matter of fact, I guarantee it.
Finally I will sum this up with a simple request. Be thoughtful. Your Pit Bull is a valuable companion. They should be worth taking the time to educate yourself and learn how to really train them without having to break your neck (or theirs) in the process.

It started the day I got Lincoln and will never end. I hard-wired myself to use everything as a training experience, but without pushing too much all the time. It’s not just rewarding but we have a lit of fun too. I am learning from the best for sure and will continue to do that so I can continue to give back and help others. Thanks for a great read.
